Night metro until 02:00, extra ferries, night buses and the train to Halfweg: how to get around during ADE 2026.
Amsterdam's public transport normally stops at night, and ADE clubs run until morning. For ADE 2026 GVB adds late metro service and more ferries, but only on certain nights. Here is what runs when.
Overview of the week: ADE 2026 guide.
Facts checked on 22 October 2026. Line-ups, sold-out status and transport plans change daily, so confirm on the organiser page before you go.
Yes, on two nights. According to NH Nieuws, metro lines 52 and 54 run until 02:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. Outside these extensions the metro does not run between 00:30 and 06:00.
The IJ ferries behind Centraal are free. For ADE the Buiksloterweg ferry sails more often, and the NDSM ferry sails all night on Saturday and Sunday nights. That makes Noord and the NDSM wharf the easiest areas to leave late: Shelter and Parallel are a short walk from the Buiksloterweg ferry.
Night buses cover the hours when the metro is off, roughly 00:30 to 07:00. Taxis are the fallback, and ADE nights are busy, so book ahead or share. Cycling is a fast way across town, but be careful after a long night.
Take a train to Halfweg-Zwanenburg, which is directly opposite the venue. The Sugarfactory says four Sprinters an hour stop there and the trip from Amsterdam Centraal takes about 10 minutes. Check the last train home on the NS planner before you leave.
Take a train or metro line 50 or 54 to Bijlmer ArenA. AMF ends at 05:00, after the extended metro stops at 02:00. See AMF 2026.
