Bordeaux nightlife starts with a glass of wine and ends by the river. The old town around Saint-Pierre and the Chartrons quays hold the cocktail bars, two of them in France's top ten for 2026, and most bars close at 02:00. The late rooms are on the edges: a club boat and two techno hangars at the Bassins à Flot, a gig hall near Gare Saint-Jean, and a techno room on the right bank. Club nights sell on Shotgun for about €8–22 and run until 06:00 or 06:30. Worth knowing: trams stop between midnight and 01:00, later from Thursday to Saturday, and the TBNight N1 bus runs every 30 minutes from 01:10 to 05:05 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

The bars are in the middle and the clubs are on the edges. Saint-Pierre, Saint-Michel and Victoire are for drinking, and most bars there close at 02:00. To dance you go north to the Bassins à Flot, south towards Gare Saint-Jean, or across the Garonne to the right bank.
The weekends are carried by promoters, not by one big club. The IBOAT, the ferry club that anchored the scene for about fifteen years, closed for good in February 2026. Since then collectives fill L'Entrepôt, Hangar DS and Bien Public, and sell their tickets in tiers on Shotgun. Ublo, a new club on the same ferry, was announced for the autumn of 2026.
