Seville nightlife starts late and lives outdoors for half the year. In summer the night begins on a terrace: rooftops facing the Giralda, cocktail bars on the river and the benches of the Alameda de Hércules, where Fun Club has run gigs and club nights since 1987. The clubs are spread out. Antique Theatro fills the old Expo 92 Olympic pavilion on La Cartuja, and the live rooms of Macarena turn concerts into club nights. Most club doors cost €10–20, and the big clubs close at 07:00. Worth knowing: the metro stops at 01:30 on Friday and Saturday and at 23:30 on other nights, so the ride home is usually a night bus or a taxi.

The night starts on a terrace, not in a club. From spring to autumn, Seville drinks outdoors: rooftops facing the Cathedral, terraces along the river and the benches of the Alameda. The terraces close between 01:00 and 04:00, and only then does anyone think about a club.
Live music is the backbone of the club scene. Fun Club, Sala X, Sala Even and Malandar put on bands early in the evening and DJs after, often on the same ticket. The commercial clubs, Antique Theatro, Uthopia and Occo, play house, reggaeton and pop from midnight until 06:00 or 07:00.
The metro will not get you home. Seville has one metro line, and it stops at 01:30 on Friday and Saturday. Most clubs are on the edges of the old town or across the river, so plan on a taxi or a night bus at the end.
