Where to go out
Swiss nightlife is a weekend sport with a high price tag. Bars fill from about 22:00, clubs open around 23:00 and the floor fills after midnight. Clubs in Zurich stay busy until 05:00 or 06:00, and a few list hours that run into the morning. A beer in a bar costs CHF 6 to 10 (about €6.50 to €11).
Zurich is the centre, and the other cities are smaller. Zurich nightlife splits into bars around Langstrasse and the Old Town, and clubs in the Industriequartier and Zurich West.
