This page explains what NIGHTFIND stores on your device, why, and how you change your mind. It sits alongside our privacy statement, which covers everything else we do with data.

1. Your choice

The first time you arrive, a banner asks you to choose between Essential only and Accept all. Nothing beyond the essentials is loaded until you pick. Refusing is one click, exactly like accepting, and the site works either way.

2. What is always stored

These are needed for the site to behave sensibly. They are kept in your browser's local storage rather than sent to our servers, and we cannot read them from anywhere else.

• Your cookie choice. Records whether you pressed Essential only or Accept all, so you are not asked again on every page. Stays until you clear your browser data.
• Your selected city. Remembers which city you picked in the switcher, so the site opens on that city next time. Stays until you clear your browser data.

3. Analytics

Only after you press Accept all, we use Google Analytics to see which cities and guides get used, so we know what to improve. That places cookies from Google, typically named _ga and _ga_ followed by a property code, which distinguish one visitor from another without knowing who you are. Their lifetime follows the retention period set in our analytics account.

Choose Essential only and none of this is loaded at all — no script, no cookie, no request to Google.

4. What we do not do

We place no advertising cookies, no social media trackers and no cross-site profiling. We do not sell what we know about your visit, and there are no third-party ad networks on this site.

5. Sites we send you to

When you click through to buy a ticket, you land on the official seller's own website. From that moment their cookie policy applies, not ours, and they may place cookies of their own. The same goes for any venue website we link to. We have no control over those and cannot switch them off for you.

6. Fonts

Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. That places no cookie, but your browser does contact a Google server to fetch the files, and Google receives your IP address in the process.

7. Changing your mind

Clear the site data for nightfind.app in your browser settings. Your stored choice disappears, the banner appears again on your next visit, and you can pick differently.

8. Blocking cookies entirely

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies and local storage — look under privacy or site settings. Be aware that if you block everything, the site will forget your city and will ask about cookies on every single page, because the record of your answer is itself one of the things being blocked.
