Antwerp nightlife is compact and built around the weekend. Most clubs open on Friday and Saturday only, with doors at 23:00 and a finish between 06:00 and 07:00. The club quarter is the Schipperskwartier, where TRAUM now fills the 16th-century church that was Café d'Anvers, and Club Vaag's basement is a short walk away in Eilandje. Before that, the cafés do the work: a bolleke on the Grote Markt, jazz at De Muze, a cocktail in Het Zuid. Entry is usually €10–25. Worth knowing: De Lijn lists no night network for Antwerp, so plan to walk, ride a Velo bike or take a taxi home.

The clubs are a weekend thing, and they sit close together. TRAUM and Cargo Club are in the Schipperskwartier and Club Vaag is on the Rijnkaai in Eilandje, a short walk apart. Doors open at 23:00 and most nights end at 06:00, or 07:00 at Cargo Club. Midweek, the clubs are mostly dark.
Cafés carry the first half of the night. Den Engel has poured on the Grote Markt since 1903, De Muze has had jazz on the Melkmarkt since 1964, and a draught beer in an ordinary café costs €2–3. Café au Lait and Korsakov stay open until 04:00 at the weekend, so the bar part of the night can last as long as the club part.
Getting home needs a plan. De Lijn runs the trams and buses, but its evening and night transport page lists Ghent, Bruges, Brussels and Leuven, not Antwerp. Garage Klub on the Noorderlaan and Plein Publiek at Blue Gate are outside the centre. Check the last tram before you go out, or plan on a Velo bike or a taxi.
TRAUM books names such as Moodymann, Palms Trax and John Talabot, Club Vaag runs weekly techno, and Garage Klub fills a 1,500-capacity warehouse.
A bolleke of De Koninck at Den Engel, twelve rotating taps and 300 bottles at Beerlovers Bar, and brown cafés across the old town.
Live bands at De Muze almost every night after 22:00, and free live music at Café Gorillaz on Wednesdays.
Red & Blue parties at Cargo Club and queer raves such as Oh Honey at TRAUM.
Club nights at Kavka Oudaan from €7.50, and €2–3 beers in the old cafés.
Dogma in the old town, Bar Burbure with its own gin and vermouth in Het Zuid, and Café au Lait until 04:00.
Not for you if you want to go clubbing on a Tuesday. Most clubs open on Friday and Saturday only, and the city is quiet midweek outside the cafés.
Rooftop sessions start at Plein Publiek, and the cocktail bars Dogma and Bar Burbure are open.
A bolleke at Den Engel or Pelikaan, or an early concert at Trix in Borgerhout.
The jazz starts at De Muze. Kavka Oudaan opens on some nights.

East of the station. Trix for concerts and club nights, Bar Bakeliet on het Laar, De Roma for concerts, and Café Gorillaz on the Dageraadplaats in Zurenborg.
Club nights are 18+, and doors ask for ID when they are unsure of your age. Dress codes are rare: Club Vaag says it will never refuse anyone for how they dress. Behaviour is what gets you turned away. At Club Vaag staff refuse disrespectful or very drunk guests even with a ticket, TRAUM runs a zero-tolerance policy on harassment and discrimination, and some queer nights ban phones on the dance floor.
Usually €10–25. Kavka Oudaan starts at €7.50, TRAUM's nights run from €12, Garage Klub and Trix club nights cost about €20, and a progressive house headliner at Club Vaag was €25. A 24-hour rave at TRAUM tops out at €32.50. Presale is cheaper and, at Club Vaag, the only guarantee of getting in on busy nights.
De Lijn's evening and night transport page lists no network for Antwerp, so check the last tram before you head out. A single ticket costs €3 and a 24-hour ticket €9, or tap a contactless card on board. After that, walk, take a Velo shared bike, which sells day and week passes, or call a taxi. Garage Klub and Plein Publiek are outside the centre: book the ride home in advance.

Café d'Anvers closed in 2019 and TRAUM now uses its church. Ampere, under the railway arches by Centraal, is in its closing chapter after losing its city concession, and Kulminator closed in April 2026.
