Zagreb nightlife is compact, local and built around the whole week rather than just the weekend. Early evening belongs to the terraces and bars of Tkalčićeva and the Lower Town, and the bars we checked close between 23:00 and 02:00. The clubs start later. Factory rooms such as Depo, Peti Kupe and Boogaloo run Friday and Saturday sessions to 05:00 or 06:00, Aquarius holds the Jarun lakeside, and Tvornica Kulture and Klub Močvara fill the calendar with gigs. Entry is usually €10–20, paid in euros since 2023. Worth knowing: the four night tram lines, 31 to 34, run roughly every 40 minutes, so a late finish usually means a taxi or Bolt.

Zagreb goes out on weeknights too. In one week of October 2026, Klub Močvara listed a film night on Tuesday, a darkwave rave on Wednesday, black metal on Thursday and an indie party on Friday, while Tvornica Kulture had gigs on four days in a row. If you arrive on a Tuesday, you will still find something. Check the listing for the night you are in town.
The clubs live in old industrial buildings, away from the bars. Depo is in the former Katran factory, Vintage Industrial Bar in a former button factory, Močvara in a factory building by the Sava embankment. The warm-up bars are on Tkalčićeva and in the Lower Town, so plan a taxi or tram between the drink and the dancefloor.
The bars close early and the clubs close late. Botaničar shuts at 23:00 and the Močvara bar at 00:00, while Pivana and Booze and Blues run to 02:00 from Thursday to Saturday. Club nights then run to 04:00 at AKC Medika, 05:00 at Peti Kupe and Boogaloo, and 06:00 at Depo and Aquarius. There is a gap in the middle of the night, and most people fill it by going straight to the club.
Depo, Peti Kupe, Boogaloo and Aquarius all list techno nights on Resident Advisor, and Boogaloo books names such as Chris Liebing and Pan-Pot.
Tvornica Kulture has two halls for touring acts, Klub Močvara covers the alternative scene, and Vintage Industrial Bar mixes bands with stand-up.
The Garden Brewery has 20 taps and a garden in the east of the city, and Pivana on Ilica has tap tables and a live music stage.
AKC Medika is a volunteer-run cultural centre, and the KSET student club programme is on the road while its home is renovated.
Gigs start at €5, and a night tram ticket is €1.99.
Aquarius on Jarun has two floors and room for about 2,000 people.
Not for you if you want a walkable club crawl. The best clubs are spread across the city, and the night trams run only every 40 minutes or so.

The densest cluster of club nights in the city: Boogaloo, Peti Kupe, Depo, Klub Močvara and Vintage Industrial Bar. It is a taxi-or-tram area, not a walking one.
Aquarius has run on the Jarun lakeside, in the south-west of the city, since 1992. The lake is a sports and leisure park built for the 1987 Universiade, so the club is a destination and a taxi ride from the centre.
Masters sits next to the Maksimir tennis centre, and The Garden Brewery is in Žitnjak, less than a ten-minute drive from the centre. Both are destinations, not a stop on a crawl.
