Naples nightlife happens in two places. In the centro storico the night is outside: students and locals fill Piazza Bellini, Piazza San Domenico Maggiore and Largo San Giovanni Maggiore, with small DJ bars and listening rooms in the side streets. Chiaia has the smarter bars and the best cocktails. The clubs sit on the edges: Via Coroglio on the western coast, Pozzuoli beyond it, and the Centro Direzionale and Cercola to the east. Most club nights run from 23:00 to 05:00 or 06:00, and a ticket usually costs €10–20. Worth knowing: metro Line 1 stops around 23:00, or about 01:30 on Friday and Saturday, so most nights end in a taxi.

The street is the first venue. From about 23:00 the squares of the centro storico fill with people drinking outside, from Piazza Bellini to Piazza San Domenico Maggiore. Drinks cost €3–6, and nobody is in a hurry to go anywhere else.
The clubs are a taxi ride away. Duel Club, REC and Discoteca Paradiso are in Pozzuoli, Basic Club is in Cercola towards Vesuvius, and The Wall Club is in the towers of the Centro Direzionale. Riva Club and Club Partenopeo sit on Via Coroglio, where the coast road runs down to Bagnoli. Pick one for the night and plan the ride before you go.
Follow the promoter, not the building. Crews such as Tendenza, Neuhm, Henge and Soul Express move between rooms, and in summer the big nights move out to beach venues along the coast. Check the line-up on Resident Advisor and buy through the link the promoter posts.
Duel Club, REC and The Wall Club book the hard end, with Jeff Mills, Ellen Allien and Tendenza's high-BPM nights all on the 2026 calendar.
Basic Club has booked Ben UFO for six hours and Omar S, and the basement at Tempo runs on vinyl and Klipschorn speakers.
The centro storico is built around the university. Drinks cost €3–6 and the squares are free.
L'Antiquario in Chiaia is No. 28 on Europe's 50 Best Bars 2026, with live jazz on Wednesdays.
Lento Hi Fi Bar, Tempo and Auditorium Novecento put sound first, and the last two cap their numbers.
From June the large nights move to beach venues on the coast, such as Flava Beach in Castel Volturno, and to boat parties.
Not for you if you want to walk from bar to club. The bars are in the centre, the clubs are out of town, and the metro stops early.

Via Coroglio runs from the foot of Posillipo to Bagnoli. Riva Club and Club Partenopeo are on it, and the former NATO base hosts large one-off events. Taxi out, taxi back.
West of Bagnoli: Duel Club, REC and Discoteca Paradiso, with the serious techno and house bookings. Late, loud and a car ride from the centre.
The Wall Club in the Centro Direzionale, near Line 1, and Basic Club just over the city line in Cercola. Two very different rooms, both worth the trip.
Most club nights are 18+, and the listings for Duel Club, Basic Club, REC, Riva Club and The Wall Club all say so. Some DJ bars set the bar at 21+, including MOS' and Happening Napoli. Bring ID. Many nights run through promoters and reservations: some Tempo nights are reservation only with no walk-ins, and The Wall Club has let people in free before midnight with a booking. A single ticket costs €1.50 and lasts 100 minutes. ANM runs a handful of night bus lines with infrequent departures, so most people take a taxi. Use licensed white taxis with the city crest and a number on the door, or book through AppTaxi, itTaxi or a radio taxi line. At night a ride within the centre costs around €12–18. Fixed fares apply on set routes such as the airport and the port, and they must be shown in the cab: agree the fixed fare or check the meter is running before you set off, and ask for a receipt. Never get into an unlicensed car.
