The confirmed dates of Cologne Karneval 2027, from Weiberfastnacht on 4 February to Ash Wednesday on 10 February, with parade times, tribune tickets and gaps.
Cologne Karneval 2027 is short: Weiberfastnacht is on Thursday 4 February, Rosenmontag on Monday 8 February and Ash Wednesday on 10 February 2027. This post lists the confirmed dates, what is known about the parades and tribune tickets, and which details are still to come.
The session itself opens earlier, on 11 November; see 11.11 in Cologne 2026.
Facts checked on 22 October 2026. Line-ups, prices, sold-out status and transport plans change, so confirm on the organiser page before you go.
Rosenmontag is Monday 8 February 2027. koeln.de’s Rosenmontagszug page for 2027 gives a 10:00 start, an end at Gregorius-Maurus-Straße (formerly Mohrenstraße), a route of 8.5 km and a running time of about 3.5 hours, with the head of the parade expected at the end around 13:45. The satirical floats follow the motto “Morje es, wat do drus mähs!”. The page names two starting points: Chlodwigplatz in the Südstadt in the text and Severinstorburg in the fact box, and its fact-box figures are marked as 2026 data, so confirm the start with the Festkomitee closer to the date.
Thursday 4 February 2027 starts the street carnival. No 2027 programme had been published on the pages checked. The pattern from koeln.de’s 2024 report is the best guide: the street carnival begins at 11:11 on the Alter Markt, with a stage programme from 09:30, a street party on the Hohenstaufenring from 09:00, a Zülpicher Straße that is closed to traffic and aimed at younger revellers, a stage at the Tanzbrunnen and the historic play of Jan un Griet in the Südstadt. That page advises taking bus and tram because cars end up in traffic.
The Schull- un Veedelszöch is on Sunday 7 February 2027 at 11:11 and is free. koeln.de says it follows nearly the same route as the Rosenmontagszug through the city centre, with more than 50 neighbourhood clubs taking part, and gives the route as Chlodwigplatz to Tunisstraße (marked as 2026 data). Over 20 neighbourhoods hold their own parades the same day, with Dünnwald, Longerich and Brück named as examples.
Covered and open-air grandstands line the route. Tickets are sold by the Festkomitee Kölner Karneval and by some carnival societies, depending on the location, and presale begins in November. koeln.de’s tribune page does not state its year, but it lists “from” prices of €67 for most tribunes (Burgmauer, EL-DE-Haus, Hohenzollernring, Mühlenbach and Taubenbrunnen), €54 for Heumarkt West (Tribüne 87.2) and €110 for the All-In tribune 87.3. Treat those as indicative until the 2027 sale opens.
The Zollstocker Dienstagszug on Veilchendienstag, Tuesday 9 February 2027, will not take place, according to a report updated on 14 October 2026 that originates from express.de. The organisers’ chairman, Michael Siegenbruck, says high security costs are the main reason, putting the parade’s annual cost at about €13,000. The report also mentions a hope for a solution for 2028.
Use the Cologne nightlife guide, the best clubs in Cologne and Cologne nightlife neighbourhoods to pick an area. Club and party line-ups for 4 to 9 February 2027 had not been published on the pages checked.
