The 10 best clubs in Bucharest, ranked: Control, Club Guesthouse, Expirat, Platforma Wolff and more, with entry in lei, closing times and what each door wants.
The best clubs in Bucharest are spread across three parts of the city, and you need a ride between them. Control and Nether Club sit in the centre, on Strada Constantin Mille and Calea Victoriei. The long techno nights run south in Sector 4, at Club Guesthouse on Splaiul Unirii and in the Expirat and Platforma Wolff buildings on Strada Constantin Istrati. Forge, for hard techno, is out east on Șoseaua Pantelimon, and Quantic, for rock and metal, is in the west.
This list covers all of them. Each entry gives you the entry price where it is published, the closing time, what the door wants and one honest reason to skip it. The basics first: doors open at 22:00 or 23:00, floors fill after midnight, and Friday and Saturday nights end at 05:00 or 06:00. Entry is usually 30–60 lei (about €6–11). The metro stops at about 23:00, so book your ride home before you go.
We ranked clubs on five things: sound, crowd, door, late licence and value. Sound means a room built for dancing or listening, judged from the published system and booking policy, not measured. Crowd means a night built around the music. Door means you can predict whether you will get in. Late licence means a finish at 05:00 or later. Value compares the ticket price with the night. Every club here has events or official listings dated 2026, and every price, hour and address comes from the club's own site, Resident Advisor or a dated local listing. Where a price is not published, we say so.
Control is the most flexible night in the centre: two rooms, the Berlin Room and the Front Room, with club nights on Fridays, a Black Rhino Residency with Mark Ernestus on 17 October and live shows by artists such as Jozef Van Wissem and, in November, The Notwist. The 9 October club night ran 22:00–06:00 and cost 40 lei in presale or 50 lei at the door. Skip it if you want one style all night: the programme swings between techno, indie and live bands.
Club Guesthouse books some of the most serious line-ups in the city: Ivan Smagghe and Manfredas on 10 October, Gonno and Raresh on 17 October and a Black Rhino Radio night with Autechre earlier in the month. The Saturday on 10 October ran from 23:00 to 08:00 and cost 60 lei at the door. Skip it if you want to take photos or walk in unannounced: there is a no-photo policy and the club reserves the right to select its audience.
A refurbished factory in Sector 4 with two open-air annexes and room for about 500, running live shows midweek and club nights on Fridays and Saturdays. October 2026 lists album launches by Ilinca and COJO, a Pinholes show and an Expirat Club Night, and club nights on Resident Advisor cost 50–60 lei. Skip it if you want a polished room or a short ride from the centre: this is a factory, and it is a taxi away.
A DJ bar built around a Danley Sound Labs system that is permanently installed, which makes it the strongest answer to the sound question on this list. Tickets on 15 August were 40 lei for the community, 50 in presale and 60 at the door, and the night ran 22:00–06:00. Skip it if you want a guaranteed indoor night: some events are open air, and the hours we have come from an older venue page.
Forge is where Bucharest goes for hard techno and rawstyle. Alpha Spectrum Level 05 on 9 October ran 23:00–06:00 for ages 18 and over, and a second promoter, EELF, put on Shaolin Cowboy at the club the same night. Skip it if you want a talkative night, a published price or an easy ride: line-ups lean hard and fast, and Forge is on Șoseaua Pantelimon, east of the centre.
A central techno club at Calea Victoriei 48-50 that mixes full nights with Sunday after-parties. Alpha Spectrum's anniversary on 13 June ran 23:00–06:00 at 30–40 lei, and the 16 October listing is M.I.L.K. presents Haunted Frequency, with an afterparty on Sunday 18 October. Skip it if you only carry a card: the 3 July night took 40 lei in cash at the door.
Nook covers what the techno rooms do not. RNB Nites Vol 8 ran 22:00–04:00 on 20 March, and the Fred Again Rave, second edition, is listed for Friday 16 October. It is on Strada Constantin Mille 18, in the same building as Bartini Rooftop, so it combines easily with a drink first. Skip it if you want a long techno night, and check the promoter for the price and age limit, which we could not find.
B52 is a different kind of night: themed parties that start at 21:00, from a Romanian Hits Party on 16 October to an 80s and 90s party on 17 October, plus live concerts such as Zece Zile and Quadra on 29 October. It suits a group that wants to sing along rather than stand in a dark room. Skip it if you want techno, and ask about prices and closing time, which are not published.
Quantic is a rock club, bar and terrace on Șoseaua Grozăvești with a heavy gig calendar: Danko Jones on 16 October, Swallow The Sun on 21 October, Hatebreed with Life of Agony on 10 November and Napalm Death on 24 November. Tickets start at 65 lei, and the bar and terrace open from 09:00 to 04:00. Skip it if you want a dance floor: this is a gig venue.
Mojo is on Strada Lipscani 69 and stays open until 05:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, with live music from about 02:00 and karaoke. A Bucharest after-midnight column from September 2026 lists it among the places to go late, which is why it makes this list despite the missing prices. Skip it if you want a curated DJ night or a serious sound system.
Plan one cluster per night. Control, Nook and Nether Club are all in the centre, so you can start with a drink at Bartini Rooftop, which shares a building with Nook, and decide at midnight. Expirat Halele Carol and Platforma Wolff share a street in Sector 4, so you can compare both before you commit. Club Guesthouse is a separate ride on Splaiul Unirii. Forge and Quantic are single-purpose trips, east and west of the centre.
Getting around is the hard part. The metro runs from about 05:00 to 23:00, so it will not take you home. STB runs 25 night lines, but most people use Bolt or Uber after a club night. Avoid unlicensed taxis at the airport and the train stations, where a March 2026 safety guide warns of inflated flat rates and tampered meters.
Bucharest rewards a plan. Check the line-up on Resident Advisor before you travel, buy presale where it exists, and carry some cash for doors that do not take cards. Control is the safest first choice: two rooms, a mix of techno, indie and live shows, and 40 lei presale on the 9 October club night. For long techno nights, Club Guesthouse ran from 23:00 to 08:00 on 10 October.
Most Friday and Saturday nights end at 05:00 or 06:00. Control and Forge listed 06:00 closes, Nether Club 05:00 or 06:00, and Club Guesthouse ran until 08:00 on 10 October.
Usually 30–60 lei, about €6–11. Recent listings showed 40–50 lei at Control, 60 lei at Club Guesthouse, 50–60 lei at Expirat and 40–60 lei at Platforma Wolff.
Club Guesthouse on Splaiul Unirii for long techno nights, Forge on Șoseaua Pantelimon for hard techno, and Nether Club on Calea Victoriei for a central option. Control adds techno and house on Fridays.
Most listed club nights are 18+, so carry ID. Club Guesthouse has a no-photo policy and reserves the right to select its audience. We found no published dress code for the other clubs.
