What is confirmed for Madrid on 31 December 2026 and 1 January 2027, what applied at Puerta del Sol, Metro and EMT in 2025/26, and which club nights are still unannounced.
New Year's Eve 2026 in Madrid falls on Thursday 31 December, and as of 25 October the city has not published its Puerta del Sol plan. This post separates what is confirmed for 2026/27 (a Fabrik festival on 1 January 2027), what applied in 2025/26 at Sol, on the Metro and on night buses, and what is still unannounced.

Fever lists LOOP NYD Festival 2027 at Fabrik (Avenida de la Industria 82, Humanes de Madrid) on Friday 1 January 2027, 17:00 to 06:00, with a Matinal session on 2 January. It is 18+ and runs across more than five areas. Announced so far: Paco Osuna and Marco Carola in the main room, Fumi, Andrés Campo and 2HIGH (Adrian Mills) in Area 19, Mason Collective in the Satellite, and zwilling. in the Club Area.
Fever prices: Entrada €45 (fifth batch, 217 left when read), General + Matinal €65 (sixth batch, 234 packs), VIP Experience €150 (Spanish page only) and Backstage Experience €250. The €45 ticket includes two drinks from 17:00 to 18:00 and one from 18:00 to 19:00, none after. Buses cost €6 each way from Madrid or €10 return; bus tickets can be bought until 12:00 on the day, then on board at higher prices, cash only. In 2025/26 the festival ran on 1 January 2026 with the same two headliners in its main room.
Nothing is announced for 2026/27. The 2025/26 pattern comes from the Ayuntamiento de Madrid release of 30 December 2025. Capacity was 15,000. The square was emptied from 21:00 and reopened at 22:00 through four entry points (calle Mayor, calle Arenal, calle Alcalá and Carrera de San Jerónimo), each with a prefilter and a filter staffed half by Policía Municipal and half by Policía Nacional. The operation targeted dangerous objects, street vending and theft.
No page mentions a ticket, and Time Out called the 30 December 2025 rehearsal (preúvas) free, with DJs from 22:45 to 23:59. The twelve grapes are eaten at midnight to the chimes of the Real Casa de Correos clock, inaugurated in 1866; the custom dates to the early 20th century, often placed in 1909.
No 2026/27 timetable is published. In 2025/26, El Debate reported that Metro kept its usual 01:30 closing on 31 December and opened at 07:00 on 1 January, with Sol station closed from 18:00 until the end of service. The Ayuntamiento's EMT notice of 19 December 2025 ended most daytime lines at 21:30 to 21:45. Night lines N1 to N26 ran from 22:30 at Cibeles until 07:00, N28 and N31 left Moncloa at 22:50, and circular lines NC1 and NC2 ran until 07:00. Neither source mentions free travel or a special fare.
None of the named clubs did on 25 October. Mondo Disko lists events from 29 October to 7 December 2026 and nothing on 31 December or 1 January. Teatro Kapital sells through ticketclub.es, where only October and November dates appear; its site bars under-18s. Teatro Barceló lists no events on its calendar page. Independance's website blocks automated reading, so it could not be checked.
2025/26 patterns: Salir's guide, updated 17 November 2025, listed Kapital from €90 per person including two bottles, and Teatro Barceló as 21+ with a dress code. Resident Advisor listed NYE with DJ Tennis at Lula Club on 31 December 2025, 23:59 to 08:00, 21+, with five price levels from 35 to 80 and no currency shown.
Conflicting year. Fever's Ella Sky Bar page (Gran Vía 42) offers a session on Friday 1 January 2027 at 00:15 for €85, 18+, open bar and grapes included, but its text still refers to 2025 and 2026. Confirm the year before paying.

None of the 2025/26 pages fetched mentions one. Entry ran through police filters until the 15,000 limit was reached, so arriving after 22:00 carried no guarantee.
Fever's Fabrik page lists no 31 December event; its festival starts at 17:00 on Friday 1 January 2027.
Fever shows 18+ and says the venue reserves the right of admission.
