ESNS runs 13 to 16 January 2027 in Groningen. Ticket prices, the Ireland focus and the acts announced so far for Eurosonic and Noorderslag.
Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) fills Groningen from Wednesday 13 to Saturday 16 January 2027: three days of European showcases at Eurosonic, then a Dutch-language day at Noorderslag. This post collects the ticket prices, the acts announced so far, the venue details that are public and where the sources disagree.
For the city itself, see the Groningen nightlife guide and the best clubs in Groningen.
Facts checked on 22 October 2026. Line-ups, prices, sold-out status and transport plans change, so confirm on the organiser page before you go.
ESNS is two festivals in one. Eurosonic is a showcase festival for European talent, with acts nominated by radio stations of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). For this edition, nearly 6,000 artists applied and 28 EBU stations nominated acts for the first round. Noorderslag is the closing day, centred on Dutch talent, and the Popprijs (Pop Prize) is awarded that day. Festivalinfo counts 2027 as the 41st edition.
ESNS states that tickets are sold through its own ticket shop, and that Delegate Passes for professionals include the conference. The organiser's ticket page mentions only one phase, the Late Rate for Delegate Passes, and does not say whether any ticket type is sold out.
The first wave of 42 acts includes Aaron Rowe, Erika Vikman, panicbaby, Gwenifer Raymond, Cerys Hafana, Eaves Wilder, Lene 3000, Osayuki and Bleech 9:3. Ireland is the focus country, and the 18 Irish acts announced on 8 October include BABYRAT, Black Nylon, BROOKI, Dave Lofts, Esmeralda Road, Hotgirl, SELL EVERYTHING, The Wran and Therapy Horse. More names are still being released, so treat this as a partial list.
Festivalinfo reported two batches of Dutch acts. The first eleven are Elmer, Milolaathetlukken, Mula, Radio Z, Hondenfokker, Eskalatie, FEMI, Langa, MAHA, Ontaard and Otto Club. The second eleven, announced on 16 October, are Isabèl Usher, Hiigo, De Baron, MAYTE, The Klittens, De Plaag, State Power, Tramhaus, Jet van der Steen, The Bird Experience and KRAM. SPOT Groningen lists Noorderslag at De Oosterpoort on Saturday 16 January, with a start of 16:00 in the Dutch text and 12:00 in the English section of the same page. That is a conflict, so wait for the final timetable.
The sources name De Oosterpoort for Noorderslag and for an exclusive Wednesday programme for delegates and music professionals. Public Eurosonic shows take place at what Festivalinfo calls well-known and lesser-known locations across the city centre, but the pages fetched do not list those venues. Check the ESNS timetable once it is published, and see the Groningen nightlife neighbourhoods guide to plan your walking route.
