The Edinburgh's Hogmanay 2026/27 programme from 29 December to 1 January, with ticket prices, gates, age rules and a New Year's Eve club night.
Edinburgh's Hogmanay 2026/27 runs from Tuesday 29 December 2026 to New Year's Day, with the Street Party and a ticketed concert in West Princes Street Gardens on Thursday 31 December. This post sets out the programme, the ticket prices published so far, the three Street Party gates and the age rules.
It also covers one all-night club party. For the rest of the city, see the Edinburgh nightlife guide.
Facts checked on 22 October 2026. Line-ups, prices, sold-out status and transport plans change, so confirm on the organiser page before you go.
They are separate tickets. The Street Party runs along Princes Street with live music, DJs, giant screens, street theatre, pipers, drummers and a fireworks display, and the festival expects about 45,000 people. Street Party tickets do not give access to the Gardens concert.
Hogmanay in the Gardens is a ticketed standing concert beneath the Castle. The stage goes live at 20:50 and last entry is 23:00. Underworld are making their Hogmanay debut, and the page calls it their only Scottish show of 2026, with "very special guests" still to be announced.
Street Party entry points are fixed at purchase: South Gate (Bank Street, top of The Mound), East Gate (Princes Street East End, junction with North Bridge) and West Gate (Princes Street West End, off the bottom of Lothian Road). Gates open at 20:00, hourly firework teasers start at 21:00, the countdown is at 23:59 and the event ends around 00:50. Gardens ticket holders choose the West or South gate and cannot change it. Re-entry is not permitted at either event.
Banned items include glass, drones, flares, lanterns, lasers, umbrellas, pets other than registered assistance dogs, and bags larger than A3. The Street Party page allows alcohol only in plastic or metal containers under 500 ml, up to four per person; the Gardens page lists alcohol as prohibited.
The Big MFSB Hogmanay '26 Double Drop runs on Thursday 31 December from 17:00 to 05:00 across two venues. Session One at 17:00 is a Greg Wilson Q&A with Yogi Haughton at Paradise Palms. Session Three runs 21:00 to 05:00 at People's Leisure Club, 45 Lothian Street EH1 1HB, billed as the finale with three headline DJs. The page lists Greg Wilson, Booker T, Yogi Haughton, Imfromull and Jack Brown as the five DJs across both venues and names Imfromull and Jack Brown for Session Two. The Skiddle page lists no price or age limit, and says Sessions One and Two are free while one ticket covers all three, so confirm the entry terms.
A local listing site, citing the Hogmanay Travel Office, gives the Street Party as 21:00 to 00:30, while the festival's own pages give 20:00 gates and a finish around 00:50. This post uses the festival's times. None of the festival pages states sold-out status.
