The 5 best clubs in Tulum, ranked: Papaya Playa Project, Gitano, Bonbonniere, Mía and Santino, with closing times, age rules, entry prices and how to get home.
The best clubs in Tulum are mostly on the beach road, not in the town. Papaya Playa Project at Km 4.5 and Gitano at Km 7.5 run the ticketed nights, Bonbonniere at Km 4 is the indoor room, and Santino on Avenida Tulum is the late option in the Pueblo. The jungle venues, Tehmplo, Zamna Tulum and Day Zero, open only around the turn of the year.
This list ranks five clubs on sound, crowd, door, late licence and value, using each venue's own pages and ticket listings. Each entry gives the closing time, the age rule, what the door wants and one reason to skip it. Several nights are priced in MX$, and the biggest festival, Zamna Tulum, prices in US$. Read the Tulum nightlife guide for bars, transport and local rules.
Facts checked on 22 October 2026. Line-ups, prices, sold-out status and transport plans change, so confirm on the organiser page before you go.
Papaya Playa Project takes first place for the combination of a beachfront setting, a 03:00 finish and a published line-up and price list. The Full Moon on Saturday 24 October 2026 (NOEMA, Nancy Kyd) opens its doors at 20:00, plays from 21:00 and allows last entry at 00:50. The 21 November night lists Maayan Nidam and Alfonsvs b2b Adriana Ruas b2b Pato Mallet.
General admission was MX$1,430 to MX$2,200 for 24 October, including 16% VAT. The Local ticket at MX$1,430 needs a physical Tulum INE. The night is 18+, casual dress, with no re-entry. Skip it if you want a free door: tickets are sold in tiers and the cheapest tier stops at 22:00.
Gitano is a jungle restaurant at Km 7.5 where the club is a Friday event. Gypsy Disco starts with dinner at 18:00, adds a DJ at 20:00 and runs until 03:00 or 03:30. Bonbonniere is the air-conditioned room at Km 4, open Thursday to Saturday from 22:00 according to MandalaTickets, with tickets from MX$500. Directories disagree on the nights (Wednesday to Sunday in some) and the age (21+ in one), so confirm both. Skip it if you want a casual beach night.
Mía Beach Club at Km 7.5 runs house DJ sets from morning to sunset, with free daytime entry and a table or bed minimum reported at about US$20 per person. Evening events are 18+ and can sell out. Directory hours end at 23:00, so it is a sunset start rather than a late finish.
Santino Bar is a small dance bar at Avenida Tulum 83, listed open daily from 19:00 to 05:00 with reggaeton and house. That end time is later than the 02:00 downtown limit announced in 2023, so confirm before you go. No cover is published, and guides describe low prices and a crowded rooftop.
Event nights end between 03:00 and 03:30. A municipal timetable announced on 17 March 2023 set 01:00 (service) and 01:30 (lights-off) on the coast and 02:00 and 02:30 downtown, with a 65-decibel limit, but no 2026 update was found and 2026 event pages run later. Treat the closing time on the event page as the real one. See the Tulum nightlife guide for bars and closing notes.
From MX$290 for Gypsy Disco general admission to MX$2,200 at Papaya Playa Project, plus drinks and a taxi. Tables add 15% service. Zamna Tulum prices in US$ from 31 December 2026, starting at US$90 for Renaissance and US$375 for the multipass.
Tehmplo opens its 2027 season with Solomun on Thursday 7 January 2027, Zamna Tulum runs from 31 December 2026 to 10 January 2027 and Day Zero is on 9 January 2027. Fora's guide says Bonbonniere, Vagalume and Bagatelle can close in the summer low season, and Google data on Wanderlog lists Vagalume as temporarily closed, so Vagalume is not ranked here.
By licensed taxi, arranged through the venue. Reported fares from the Pueblo to the beach road range from MX$80 to MX$150 in a March 2026 guide to MX$500 to MX$1,000 in Tulum Times (updated 4 September 2026). Ride-hailing is legal but almost never available, and the beach road has no pavement or lighting.

18+. State law bars sales to under-18s, and the clubs here list 18+. MandalaTickets, which sells Bonbonniere, asks for an original photo ID and refuses photos or screenshots. One directory lists Bonbonniere as 21+, so confirm before you travel.
