The 8 best clubs in São Paulo, ranked: D-Edge, Ephigenia, Fabriketa, Crema Club and more, with closing times, R$ prices, comanda rules and door policy.
The best clubs in São Paulo are electronic rooms spread over Barra Funda, the old centre, Pinheiros and Brás, plus two jazz rooms for a seated night. This ranking covers eight venues that are open now, with the closing time, the entry price where one is published and the door rules that matter. Prices and times come from 2026 listings unless a date says otherwise.
The order follows five tests: sound, crowd, door, late licence and value. The top three are D-Edge, Ephigenia and Fabriketa. For the comanda, the all-night Saturday metro and official safety advice, read the São Paulo nightlife guide.
Facts checked on 22 October 2026. Line-ups, prices, sold-out status and transport plans change, so confirm on the organiser page before you go.
D-Edge has run in Barra Funda since 22 April 2003 and has the strongest case on sound and licence. Its dance floor is wrapped in LED screens, TechnoAirlines gives a capacity of 1,000, and Resident Advisor lists Friday and Saturday parties from 23:59 to 08:00, with Superafter on Sunday from 05:00 to 12:00. DJ Magazine ranked it ninth in its 2009 Top 100 Clubs list. Tickets are on Ingresse and Blueticket until 23:59, and the door price is set per night. It is 18+. The trade-off is the hour: nothing starts before midnight.
Ephigenia sits on the 22nd and 23rd floors of a building on the Viaduto Santa Ifigênia, with a listed capacity of 400 and a 360-degree view from the upper floor. Resident Advisor lists Fridays from 23:00 to 06:00, with Rafael Cerato on 23 October 2026 and Adana Twins with David Triana on 30 October. Tickets go through Sympla and no price is shown. It ranks second on weekly programming and setting. The trade-off is that only Fridays were found, and Canada's advisory names the historical downtown among areas with violent crime, so order the ride home in advance.
Fabriketa in Brás has a listed capacity of 3,000 and no weekly schedule. The next listed party, Trommel x Mixordia on Saturday 14 November 2026, runs from 16:00 to 08:00, is 18+ and is priced at R$120 to R$250 according to TechnoAirlines. It ranks third because it is the largest room and the longest listed night. The trade-off is that it is not a club you can count on for any given weekend.
Crema Club on Rua Cristóvão Gonçalves lists nights from 21:00 to 06:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, among them Halloween Night on 31 October 2026 and From House To Techno on 6 November. All listings are 18+ and sold through RA Tickets, with no price shown. It ranks fourth because the programme is regular but the price and house rules are not published.
Anexo Cambridge hosts the Tarja Preta party. The Phase Fatale night on 23 October 2026 ran from 22:00 to 06:00 with techno and EBM, 18+, sold through Shotgun. The organisers offer limited first-come access lists for Black, trans, disabled and non-binary people and people in vulnerable situations, and a costume is recommended but not required. The listing checked is for one party, so confirm the date.
Bar Carmem on Rua Silva Pinto listed No Hay Banda on 23 October 2026 from 23:00 to 06:00, 18+, with electro and post-punk and a request to wear light clothing. No price or ticket link is shown, which is why it sits sixth.
Bourbon Street Music Club is open Tuesday to Sunday. The Tuesday Jazz Sessions start at 20:00 (doors 19:30) and cost R$40 in Setor A or R$35 in Setor B, and the Jazz Café is free on weekend afternoons. It is the cheapest ticketed night in this ranking, and the programme is not electronic.
Blue Note São Paulo opens at 19:00 with shows at 20:00 or 22:30, according to a February 2026 report, and a 2025 blog gives it 346 seats. It is 18+ unless a guardian comes with you, and an April 2023 show started at R$120. It ranks last as a club because the night is built around seats and ends earlier.
Grupo Dicas gives R$40 to R$90 for mid-sized clubs on regular nights and R$120 to R$300 for big parties, DJ nights or VIP areas, and says Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday are cheaper than Friday and Saturday. Fodor's (undated) lists a D-Edge cover from R$20, sometimes over R$100, with a discount for an advance list (nome na lista) or early arrival. Fabriketa is listed at R$120 to R$250 for 14 November 2026. Several Resident Advisor listings show a price without a currency, so read the ticket page.
Many venues give you an electronic card at the door, log your drinks on it and charge the total when you leave (Fodor's). Astor says it does not offer individual tabs. Idec says a fine for a lost card is valid only if you were at fault and, per its lawyer, cannot exceed 10% of the bill; no fine applies if the card was stolen inside the venue. Report the loss at once, state what you drank and ask for a receipt that names the charge. A 2016 legal article calls the 10% service charge optional. No venue page checked publishes a lost-card fee.
The US lists Brazil at Level 2 (issued 31 August 2026), warns that criminals drug drinks with sedatives in bars and nightclubs, and says not to go to bars or nightclubs alone. The UK says even small amounts of methanol can kill and that phone thefts peak between 16:00 and 21:00. Canada (updated 14 October 2026) names Avenida Paulista and the historical downtown among areas where violent crime occurs and advises sealed bottles over plastic cups. For more, read the São Paulo nightlife guide.
The metro runs from about 04:40 to midnight. Lines 1, 2, 3 and 15 are announced to run all night from Saturday into Sunday until 31 January 2027, as an experiment, and overnight integration with CPTM trains is not available. On other nights use Uber or 99 from inside the venue and match the plate. The US advises against municipal buses at night and informal taxis, and the UK says not to hail taxis on the street.
D-Edge, D-Edge on TechnoAirlines, Ephigenia on TechnoAirlines, Fabriketa on TechnoAirlines, NAVE at D-Edge on Resident Advisor, Ephigenia on Resident Advisor, Fabriketa on Resident Advisor, Crema Club on Resident Advisor, Anexo Cambridge on Resident Advisor, Bar Carmem on Resident Advisor, Bourbon Street Music Club, Rolling Stone Brasil on Blue Note SP, D-Edge on Wikipedia, Grupo Dicas, Fodor's, Idec on lost comandas, Jus.com.br on consumer rights at night, Diário do Transporte on the all-night metro, US State Department advisory for Brazil, UK FCDO advice for Brazil, Government of Canada advice for Brazil.
D-Edge, on sound and licence: it holds Thursday to Sunday parties with Friday and Saturday sets from 23:59 to 08:00 and a listed capacity of 1,000. Ephigenia is second for its weekly Friday programme and the view from the 23rd floor.
Club nights listed on Resident Advisor end at 06:00 at Ephigenia, Crema Club, Anexo Cambridge and Bar Carmem, and at 08:00 at D-Edge on Friday and Saturday. Superafter on Sunday runs to 12:00.
18 on every club night checked. Brazilian law makes supplying alcohol to under-18s a crime, and Blue Note admits minors only with a parent or legal guardian. Carry photo ID.
Few publish one. Grupo Dicas says upscale venues in Vila Olímpia and Itaim, and some rooftops, may refuse flip-flops or tank tops. Bar Carmem's promoter asks for light clothing, and Anexo Cambridge's Tarja Preta night recommends a costume but does not require one.
