The best clubs in Bilbao, ranked: Kafe Antzokia, Fever, Back&Stage, Cotton Club and more, with closing times, ticket prices and what each door expects.
The best clubs in Bilbao are mostly live rooms that keep going after the band. Nights here start with pintxos in the Casco Viejo, and the dancing comes later and in fewer places than in Madrid or Barcelona. Kafe Antzokia turns a former cinema into a club until 06:00. Back&Stage has two rooms by the river at Uribitarte, Cotton Club in Indautxu stays open until 06:30, and Fever fills a 1,500-capacity venue in an industrial estate at Bolueta.
This list ranks the eight we would pick for a weekend. We kept it to eight because those are the clubs we could verify as open in 2026, and we left out names that only appear in old listings. For each one you get the closing time, the price where it is published, the door and an honest reason to skip it. The basics first: most close at 06:00 on Friday and Saturday, gig tickets cost €10–35, and the metro runs all night only from Saturday into Sunday.
We ranked clubs on five things: sound, crowd, door, late licence and value. Sound means a room built for a band or a DJ, not a bar with a speaker in the corner. Crowd means people who came for the night. Door means you can predict if you will get in, including age rules and dress codes. Late licence means how long the night runs. Value compares the ticket with what you get for it. Every club here has 2026 events or current published hours, and times, prices and addresses come from the venues' own sites, ticket listings and local guides. We do not sell tickets ourselves.
Bilbao's best-known late venue: a former cinema on San Vicente, run as a Basque cultural centre, with gigs in the evening and a two-floor club until 06:00 on Friday and Saturday. The bookings are the broadest in the city, from Mercury Rev to drum and bass nights. Skip it if you want a polished, modern club.
The largest venue on this list, with room for up to 1,500 people in an industrial estate at Bolueta. Fever has run here since 2005, the Santanazo night plays reggaeton and commercial music until 06:00 on Saturday, and the gig calendar is busy the rest of the week. Skip it if you want to walk between venues: nothing else is nearby.
Two rooms on Uribitarte: Stage Live, open since 2013, for gigs and DJ sessions, and BACKroom for themed parties. The music runs from eighties hits to reggaeton and afro house, until 04:30 on Thursday and 06:00 at the weekend. Skip it if you want underground electronic music.
A bar with a stage on Gregorio de la Revilla since 1994, with concerts several times a month and DJs playing eighties and nineties hits in between. It has the latest close on this list: 06:30 on Friday and Saturday. Skip it if you want a big dance floor.
A 400-capacity live room on Ibáñez de Bilbao for rock, indie, soul and metal, with Blood Red Shoes and Anabel Lee on the autumn 2026 bill. Outside concerts it is a free-entry bar until 05:30 on Friday and Saturday, with a crowd that tends to be over 25. Skip it if you want reggaeton or chart hits.
La Merced, a 17th-century church on the river, run by the city as a music venue since the 1990s. Gigs cost from about €3 for local bands to €25, which makes it the cheapest good night on this list. Skip it if you want to dance until dawn: it is a concert hall, not a club.
A mainstream club on Rodríguez Arias in Indautxu with DJ sessions, live bands and reserved areas for groups. Its Saturday tardeo runs from 18:00 to midnight with live music and a DJ set, playing hits from the eighties to now. Skip it if you want an underground crowd or published prices.
A club bar on Arbolantxa in the Albia area, with an Art Nouveau interior, an alabaster bar and a terrace. A DJ plays from 18:00 to midnight on tardeo days, and night sessions sell through its ticket page with a guest list and VIP tables. Skip it if you want a gig or a name DJ.
Plan the night around one area and the metro. Kafe Antzokia, Sala Azkena and Davinci are a few minutes apart around the Jardines de Albia, with Basquery close by for a first beer. Cotton Club and Sala Moma are in Indautxu, close to Pozas, where the night often starts on match days. Back&Stage is a walk along the river from Abando, and Bilborock is over La Merced bridge from the Casco Viejo. Fever is the only one that needs the metro: Bolueta is a short ride from the centre.
The metro runs until about 02:00 on Friday and all night from Saturday into Sunday. After 02:00 on a Friday, use the Gautxori night buses from Plaza Circular, which only take the Barik card, or a taxi.
Bilbao rewards a plan more than a big budget. Pick your gig or club, start with pintxos nearby, and check how you are getting home before the Friday metro stops. For closing times, prices and transport in one place, read our Bilbao nightlife guide. If you are still choosing where to start, our guide to Bilbao nightlife by neighbourhood breaks the city down area by area, from the Casco Viejo to Bolueta. Ready to book? Most close at 06:00 on Friday and Saturday. Kafe Antzokia and Back&Stage run to 06:00, Sala Azkena to 05:30 and Cotton Club to 06:30. On Thursday, Back&Stage closes at 04:30.
Of the clubs we could verify, Fever at Santana 27 in Bolueta, with room for up to 1,500 people across several rooms. Its Santanazo night runs until 06:00 on Saturday.
Gig tickets usually cost €10–35: €15–37 at Kafe Antzokia, €15–27 at Stage Live and from €10 at Sala Azkena, which is free when there is no concert. Club-night prices are often not published, so check the venue's ticket page.
We did not find a weekly techno club in the centre that we could verify for 2026. The nearest thing is the Friday electronic and drum and bass nights at Kafe Antzokia. In July, BBK Live books techno headliners: Charlotte de Witte and Richie Hawtin were on the 2026 line-up.
Only from Saturday into Sunday, with fewer trains after 02:00. On Friday it stops around 02:00, and the Gautxori night buses from Plaza Circular take over.
