The 10 best clubs in Antwerp, ranked: TRAUM, Club Vaag, Garage Klub, Trix and more, with entry prices, closing times, door rules and how to get home.
The best clubs in Antwerp open on Friday and Saturday, start at 23:00 and finish at 06:00 or 07:00. The core of the scene sits in the north of the centre: TRAUM in the 16th-century church on Verversrui that was Café d'Anvers, Cargo Club a few streets away in the Schipperskwartier, and Club Vaag's basement on the Rijnkaai in Eilandje. Garage Klub, the warehouse co-run by the founder of Kompass Klub, is further out on the Noorderlaan.
This list ranks the clubs worth your ticket in 2026, from house and techno rooms to themed party nights and a bar that turns into a dance floor at the weekend. Each entry gives the entry price where it is published, the closing time, what the door wants and one honest reason to skip it. Expect €10–25 for most nights. One big name is missing: Ampere, under the railway arches by Centraal, is in its closing chapter after losing its concession.
We ranked clubs on five things: sound, crowd, door, late licence and value. Sound means a room built for music, such as Club Vaag's Funktion-One basement. Crowd means people who came for the night rather than the photo. Door means you can predict if you will get in. Late licence means a finish at 05:00 or later. Value compares the ticket with what you get. Every club here has events or listings dated 2025 or 2026, and every price, time and address comes from the venue, Resident Advisor or a current city guide. We do not sell tickets ourselves.
The 16th-century church on Verversrui that housed Café d'Anvers reopened as TRAUM in January 2025, and its Traum Nacht series brings Moodymann, Paranoid London and John Talabot in autumn 2026. Two rooms, three bars and tickets from €12. Skip it if you want chart hits or bottle service.
A basement on the Rijnkaai that opens every Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 06:00, with a Funktion-One system, techno at the hard end and progressive house nights such as Sebastien Leger b2b Roy Rosenfeld at €25. There is no dress code. Skip it if you mind cameras: photographers work in the club regularly.
A converted warehouse on the Noorderlaan for 1,500 people, opened in 2024 by Kompass Klub founder Jens Grieten and former Fuse programmer Olivier Ramoudt, with Richie Hawtin at the opening. Tickets are around €20 and nights run until 06:00 or 07:00. Skip it if you want to walk home: it is outside the centre.
A Borgerhout music venue that turns into a three-room club on some nights: Celebration of Life on 10 October 2026 runs techno and trance in the main room, a wider mix in the second and a chill-out room, from 22:00 to 06:00 for €20. Skip it if you want to walk in on the night: almost everything is ticketed.
Open every Saturday from 23:00 to 07:00, with light and laser shows, an LED wall and a run of themed parties and drag under the Red & Blue name, one of Antwerp's longest-running LGBT party brands. The crowd is mixed and LGBTQ+-friendly. Skip it if you want underground techno.
An old-town club where local promoters run UK garage, bass and hard house nights, with tickets from €7.50 to €19 and a 05:00 finish. October 2026 brings the VERGEETACHTIG season opener and November the farewell show of Ivy Lab. Skip it if you want a famous techno headliner.
An arts house on the Ankerrui with a bar, concerts, theatre and film, which Time Out lists for nightlife and dancing and Resident Advisor counts among Antwerp's popular club spaces. It is the most varied room on this list. Skip it if you want a dedicated club every weekend.
Half bar, half club on Sint-Jorispoort, with €3 draught beer, graffiti and pool tables upstairs, open from noon until 04:00 on Friday and Saturday. It is a common last stop when you do not want a club ticket. Skip it if you want cocktails or a quiet table.
A multicultural cocktail bar on the Oude Beurs, open every night until 04:00, that becomes a party at the weekend with themed nights of 90s R&B, funk, reggae and afro-latin music. Cocktails are cheap for the centre: a Cuba Libre is €7. Skip it if you want a club with a big room and a headliner.
Rooftop sessions at the Blue Gate site in the south of the city, with disco, 80s and house at LA FÊTE and reggae and dancehall at Jammin', from 17:00 or 19:00 until midnight or 01:00. Tickets are €11–15. Skip it if you want a late night: it finishes as the clubs open.
Plan the night by area. TRAUM and Cargo Club are a few streets apart in the Schipperskwartier, and Club Vaag is a short walk north on the Rijnkaai, so you can change rooms without a taxi. Kavka Oudaan, Korsakov and Café au Lait are in the old town, closer to the cafés of the Grote Markt. Garage Klub, Trix and Plein Publiek are the outliers: on the Noorderlaan, in Borgerhout and at Blue Gate in the south.
Getting home takes a plan. De Lijn lists no night network for Antwerp, so check the last tram before you go out; a single ticket costs €3. After that, walk, take a Velo shared bike or book a taxi, which you will need from Garage Klub.
Antwerp is easy once you pick a scene. House and techno people should start with TRAUM and Club Vaag and check Resident Advisor for the week's bookings; groups who want a themed party should head to Cargo Club on a Saturday. For closing times, prices and transport in one place, read our Antwerp nightlife guide. If you are still choosing where to drink first, our guide to Antwerp nightlife by neighbourhood breaks the city down area by area. Ready to book? For house and disco, TRAUM, in the church that housed Café d'Anvers, with guests such as Moodymann and John Talabot. For weekly techno, Club Vaag on the Rijnkaai. For the biggest room, Garage Klub, which holds 1,500 people.
Most close between 05:00 and 07:00. Kavka Oudaan finishes at 05:00, TRAUM and Club Vaag at 06:00, Garage Klub at 06:00 or 07:00, and Cargo Club at 07:00 on Saturday.
Usually €10–25. Kavka Oudaan starts at €7.50, TRAUM at €12, Garage Klub and Trix club nights cost about €20, and a headliner at Club Vaag was €25.
Rarely. Club Vaag says it will never refuse anyone for how they dress. Doors refuse people for disrespect or drunkenness, not clothes.
Club Vaag on the Rijnkaai in Eilandje and Garage Klub on the Noorderlaan. Trix in Borgerhout runs techno and trance club nights, and TRAUM's raves put techno on the balcony.
