The 9 best bars in Belgrade, ranked: Nula Pet, Pivara, Witch Bar and Blaznavac, plus kafanas and live-music rooms, with hours, prices in dinars and booking tips.
The best bars in Belgrade are not one type of place. There are cocktail bars near Kalemegdan and on Kneginje Ljubice, a beer bar on a former brewery site, a kafana where musicians play at your table, and rooms where live pop and folk bands start at 22:00 or 23:00. Most open earlier than the clubs and close between 00:00 and 02:00, so they work as the first stop of the night or as the whole of it.
This list ranks nine bars by what you get for the money. Prices are in dinars with euro equivalents where a bar publishes them: at about 117 RSD to the euro, a cocktail at Restoran Cross at about 450 RSD costs roughly €4. Several bars ask for a free reservation through the Beograd Noću line or app, so check before you go.
We ranked bars on five things: drinks, room, music, hours and value. Drinks means a list worth ordering from. Room means a place with a character of its own. Music means a live band or DJ you would choose, not background noise. Hours means a bar that is open when you need it. Value compares the likely bill with what you get. Most bars here have an October 2026 programme or event listing from Beograd Noću or Resident Advisor. Tri šešira and Blaznavac are confirmed by guides instead, and the Beograd Noću site lists Tri šešira among its most requested venues. We do not sell tickets ourselves.
A Dorćol cocktail and DJ bar that opens every day at 17:00 and closes at 02:00, which makes it a bar that works on any night of the week. October 2026 brought a Čola night, a Lekka special of ex-Yugoslav hits and house parties. Skip it if you want a big dance floor: it holds about 100 people and the clubs are a taxi ride away.
A beer bar on the site of a nineteenth-century brewery at Cetinjska 15, with 45 beers on the list, seating for about 160 and live bands on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It is the easiest bar here to turn into a longer night, because Lift and Para Klub share the courtyard. Skip it if you want a quiet pint on a band night.
A cocktail bar at Pariska 13 in Stari Grad, with a view of the Kalemegdan fortress, open every day from 09:00 to 01:00. Weekdays bring karaoke and themed evenings, and from Friday to Sunday DJs play R&B and house, with DJ nights on 16 and 17 October 2026 from 20:30. Skip it if you want a spontaneous walk-in, because reservations are required.
In Your Pocket calls it one of the most eccentric bars in Belgrade, and the unicorn head over the room supports that. It sits on Kneginje Ljubice, one of Dorćol's bar streets, opens at 09:00 and is often crowded at weekends. Skip it if you want a quiet drink on a Saturday night.
A DJ bar in the Cetinjska 15 complex with house and disco sets from 20:00 to midnight, such as Sergej Krstić on 9 October 2026 and Timbe the next night. It is a warm-up rather than a destination, and Para Klub and Pivara are in the same courtyard. Skip it if you want to stay late: the sets end at midnight.
The oldest working kafana in Skadarlija, serving traditional Serbian food with musicians playing at the tables from 11:00 to 02:00. Choose it for the setting rather than the drinks list. Skip it if you want a quiet meal: In Your Pocket describes the roaming orchestra as a little pervasive.
A Savamala bar on Karađorđeva that serves breakfast and coffee by day and puts on live pop bands from 23:00 most nights, open 09:00 to 02:00. October 2026 acts include Amor band, Toma Milovanović and Le Mago band. Skip it if you want electronic music, because the evenings are live pop.
A Dorćol bar by Studentski park that holds about 300 and puts live pop and folk bands on from 22:00 until 02:00, Wednesday to Sunday. The listing says prices sit closer to bar prices than club prices, and reservations carry no minimum spend. Skip it if you want electronic music or a Monday drink: it is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
A bar-restaurant at Mileševska 73 in Vračar with live pop and folk music in the evenings and cocktails at about 450 RSD (about €4). It is the only Vračar entry here, so it suits a night away from the centre. Skip it if you want a club: it closes by 01:00 and the night is built around a table.
Pick one area per night. Nula Pet, Blaznavac and Santo Domingo are in Dorćol. Pivara, Lift and Tri šešira share the Cetinjska and Skadarlija area, Witch Bar is by Kalemegdan, Dok is in Savamala and Restoran Cross is in Vračar.
Plan the ride home before you order. Public transport in Belgrade has been free since 1 January 2025, but regular lines run only from about 04:00 to midnight, and most of these bars close between 00:00 and 02:00. Take a metered taxi or Yandex Go, which shows the fare before you ride.
A bar night in Belgrade ends in one of two ways: a taxi home or a club. If you want the club, start with our ranked list of the 10 best clubs in Belgrade.
