Waywards is the first-floor bar and music venue of the Bank Hotel, at 324 King Street, Newtown. Time Out's June 2026 live-music guide lists late closes: 02:00 on Monday and Tuesday, 04:00 from Wednesday to Saturday and midnight on Sunday, with bands in the Ballroom on Friday and Saturday. An earlier Time Out guide describes indie, live guitar and vinyl DJs, and says it is not strictly a club.
That mix suits a King Street crawl: start in the street-level pubs, then climb up for the music. Opening times and entry prices are not published in the sources we checked. Not for you if you want a dedicated dance floor. The live music is the main event.
