Techno club in a two-floor Itaewon building with a Martin Audio system, a no-filming floor upstairs and a 06:00 close on Saturdays.
Volnost opened in 2017 and moved on 3 November 2023 into a larger building on Itaewon-ro, where a bar fills the ground floor and the music happens upstairs. The rig is a Martin Audio THV top system with SXH218 subwoofers, and the room has hosted Phase Fatale, Robert Henke and Headless Horseman. The programme is techno, minimal and hard techno, with house in the warm-up and after-hours slots.
Thursday runs from 21:00 to 02:00, Friday from 23:00 to 05:00 and Saturday from 23:00 to 06:00, though hours vary by event. Phone cameras are sealed at the door and filming is banned on the upstairs floor. Not for you if you want photos of the night, or a room larger than about 160 people.
