Village Underground is a renovated Victorian warehouse on Holywell Lane, recognisable by the four graffiti-covered Jubilee line carriages on its roof. It began as affordable studio space for artists and still houses about 30 of them, alongside concerts, exhibitions and theatre. A rooftop bar has opened in the carriages.
At weekends the gigs finish around 22:00 and club nights take over from 23:00, with drum & bass, house and disco bookings until 04:00 or 05:00. Club nights are strictly 18+, the bars are cashless and online sales close at 17:00 on the day. Not for you if you want a polished superclub; this is one big warehouse room.
Club nights are strictly 18+ with physical ID, door tickets are sold only if the night is not sold out, and there is no re-entry.
