Arts centre in De Vooruit, the 1913 festival hall on Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat, with techno, drum and bass and pop parties until 06:00.
De Vooruit was built in 1913 as a festival hall for Ghent's socialist workers' movement, to a design by Ferdinand Dierkens. The arts centre inside is now called VIERNULVIER, a new name chosen after a political party took the name Vooruit in 2021; the building keeps its old one. In the 1990s Free the Funk and then I Love Techno moved in, and the first I Love Techno, in 1995, had Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin and a Daft Punk almost nobody knew.
Club nights still fill the old halls. October 2026 brings 30 Years of Kozzmozz with Len Faki and Speedy J (22:00–06:00, €23–28.50) and the final Star Warz drum and bass night (€16, 18+). Not for you if you want a weekly club: it is an events venue, so check the calendar first.
Event-led: buy tickets in advance for big nights; club nights are 18+.
