Student-run pub in the middle of the University of Twente campus, open Monday to Saturday from 21:00 with themed parties and a Tuesday quiz.
Vestingbar is the student pub at the heart of the University of Twente campus, run entirely by volunteer members of the association S.V. De Gevreesde Koe. It is open to students and other visitors. The year is built around parties and special evenings: a Halloween after-exam party on 6 November, a techno night called Boiler Barn on 27 November and Beer & Vinyl on 12 December, where you bring your own records.
Two bars pour Grolsch Premium Pilsner and Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, with a seasonal La Chouffe and Guinness on the large bar. Regular hours are 21:00 to 02:00 from Monday to Saturday, and the Saturday catering permit stretches to 05:30 for special events. Not for you if you want the city centre: it sits on campus, away from the Oude Markt.
Open to students and other visitors; the bar is run by volunteer members of a student association.
