Vertigo and Moon Bar shares the 61st floor of Banyan Tree Bangkok on South Sathorn Road. Moon Bar is the open-air bar on a converted helipad about 220 metres above the city, and it has been open since 2002. Vertigo is the grill restaurant beside it. Time Out lists the bar open daily from 17:00 to 01:00.
The dress code is firmly enforced: men need long trousers and closed shoes. The rooftop closes when it rains, so call ahead in the wet season, which runs from June to November. Not for you if you want certainty: a rain shower can close the bar at short notice.
