Twist

Twist has been a fixture of gay nightlife in South Beach for about 25 years, on Washington Avenue between 10th and 11th Streets. It is bigger than it looks from the street: two levels, three dancefloors and seven bars, so you can move between rooms without leaving the building. The music is house and dance pop, with go-go dancers and themed nights through the week.

There is never a cover. It opens in the afternoon, two-for-one drinks run from 15:00 to 21:00, and it stays open until 05:00, the Miami Beach last call. Not for you if you want a curated line-up or a quiet drink.
