Tiki bar on Falirou in Koukaki with Polynesian decor, exotica cocktails such as Zombies and Mai Tais, and occasional live music.

Tiki Bar Athens is on Falirou in Koukaki, close to the Acropolis Museum, and Athinorama counts it among the most beautiful tiki bars around. The look is Polynesian with an eighties twist: bamboo, leopard-print seating and plenty of kitsch. Owner Giannis-Petros Petri is part of the experience.

The drinks are exotica cocktails, with Zombies and Mai Tais as the classics, and the kitchen sends out snacks. There is occasional live music, and it stays open through August, when much of the city shuts. Akropoli metro (L2) is nearby. Not for you if you want a minimalist cocktail bar: the decor is loud by design.
