The Workman's Club opened in 2010 in a multi-floor building on Wellington Quay, at the edge of Temple Bar and next to the Clarence Hotel. It mixes gigs, the Craic Den comedy club, seven nights a week, and a club night every night: Surrender for indie and alternative on Friday, Disorder on Saturday, Sunday Night Fever for disco, funk and soul, and karaoke on Thursday. The Cellar, opened in 2021, holds about 170 people.
It opens at 17:00 on Monday and Tuesday and at 14:00 from Wednesday, closing at 02:30, or 01:30 on Sunday. Comedy is 18+. Not for you if you want electronic music: the club nights lean to guitars, indie and classics.
