The Tobacco Factory is a converted factory on Raleigh Road, by North Street in Southville, south of the harbour. The café bar is a big, bright room with a stage and an outdoor area, and it pours craft beer from independent South West breweries. The building also holds a 350-capacity theatre and a dance studio.
The bar opens at 10:00 every day and closes at 23:00, or at midnight on Friday and Saturday. Sunday has an outdoor market and free live music in the evening, and Jazz in the Loft brings concerts upstairs. Not for you if you want a late night: it closes when the clubs are opening.
