The Sanctuary Eco Retreat is a garden venue on Via delle Terme di Traiano, on the Colle Oppio between Monti and the Colosseum. Early in the evening it works as a tropical-style restaurant and bar, with Asian-inspired food and live art and performance; later the garden turns into a dance floor for vinyl and electronic DJ sets.
It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 18:00 and runs until 04:00. The State of Flux parties bring techno and house guests to play alongside the venue's long-time resident, Glauco Di Mambro, from 23:00 to 04:30 with a 21+ door. Colosseo metro is a short walk. Not for you if you want a dark, closed room: this is an open-air night, and the feel changes with the weather.
