LGBTQ+ bar and club on South Great George's Street since 1985, with drag through the week, Sunday Bingo and €10 entry late at weekends.
The George opened in May 1985 on South Great George's Street, expanding from Bridie's Bar into its loft space, and it marked forty years in 2025. It calls itself the heart of LGBT Ireland, and the week is built around drag: Win Lose or Drag on Monday, RELEASE on Friday with go-go dancers and DJs from 21:00, Saturgays with drag and pop from 20:00, and Sunday Bingo hosted by Shirley Temple Bar.
Entry is free early and €10 after 21:00 on Friday or 20:00 on Saturday. On Sunday it is free before 21:00 and €5 after, and the DJ plays until 01:30. Not for you if you want underground music: it is pop, chart and drag, and proud of it.
