Former Crawfords biscuit plant in Leith, reopened in 2021 as an arts and events venue with a main space for about 450 people.
The Biscuit Factory is a former Crawfords biscuit plant on Anderson Place in Leith. It was built in 1947, stood empty for more than 40 years, and reopened in May 2021 as a creative hub. The main event space holds about 450 people and an upstairs room around 150, and the building also houses small businesses, a distillery and a café.
It is an events venue rather than a weekly club. Gigs, club nights such as Femmergy, Fringe shows and Edinburgh Art Festival events all use it, and Fanfare Ciocarlia play here in October 2026. Its operators have said they want it to grow into something like Glasgow's SWG3. Not for you if you want to walk in on any Saturday: check what is on first.
