Sweet Liberty opened on 20th Street in South Beach under the bartender John Lermayer, with Dan Binkiewicz and the chef Michelle Bernstein among the partners. It reached number 27 in The World's 50 Best Bars in 2017 and number 21 in 2018, and it serves food as well as drinks, from oysters to a full Sunday brunch.
It opens every day from 16:00 to 05:00, happy hour runs until 20:00 with $1.25 oysters and $8 rosé, and Sunday brunch runs from noon. Not for you if you want a hushed, reserved-seat cocktail experience.
No cover; walk in, and expect a wait for a seat at peak times.
