Supersonic is a rock venue on Rue Biscornet, a few minutes from Place de la Bastille. The model is simple: three free concerts a night, mostly indie, garage, punk and psych bands, followed by DJ sets. The room holds around 300 people including the mezzanine.
It opens at 19:00 every day, closing at midnight from Sunday to Thursday and at 06:00 on Friday and Saturday, when themed nights such as nineties rock, eighties pop and British rock take over. Some headline shows are ticketed. Not for you if you came to Paris for electronic music.
Free entry for most concerts; capacity is limited, so arrive early for popular bands.
