Strange Brew is a multi-room art space, music venue and late-night bar on Fairfax Street, close to Rough Trade. The promoters behind the long-running club night Dirtytalk opened it after a crowdfunding campaign, and the front room combines DIY art, a bar, a record shop and a stage. The licence runs to 03:00.
The programme jumps between genres. In one week of October 2026 it hosted DJ Krush, Lena Willikens in the back room and Boris playing their album Pink. Club nights are 18+, and a headline booking costs around £15: Lena Willikens was £14.60. Not for you if you want a polished club: the point here is the bookings, not the decor.
