Spybar

Spybar is a basement club at 646 N Franklin Street in River North, at Erie Street. The club says it opened in 1996 and has run for more than 25 years. The room is about 4,500 square feet with minimal decor and few tables, so the crowd stays close to the DJ. Festival Insider (2022) reported a capacity of about 300. The programme is house, tech house and techno, with Inphinity listed as the resident, and Techno Airlines lists Kevin Saunderson on 16 October 2026.

Regular hours are Friday 22:00 to 04:00 and Saturday 22:00 to 05:00, with some Thursday events. Events are 21+. October 2026 tickets on Dice ran from $15 to $30, and an August 2026 night was $25 on Resident Advisor. Door tickets are sold even when advance tickets sell out, at prices that vary with demand. Coat check is compulsory at $5. The dress code asks for street fashion, creative club or party clothes, with no flip-flops, open-toed footwear or work boots. Not for you if you want a late Sunday to Wednesday night: the regular programme is Friday and Saturday.
