Sound-Bar

Sound-Bar is a large two-level club at 226 W Ontario Street in River North, listed on the second floor. Time Out says it opened in 2004. The club describes about 20,000 square feet with a 4,000 square foot dance floor, lounges and a VIP room for up to 50 guests; listings differ on the bar count, with seven or nine given by different sources. The main programme is EDM, house, trance and electronic, and the lower level often has resident DJs playing Top 40, hip-hop and R&B.

Hours are Friday 22:00 to 04:00 and Saturday 22:00 to 05:00, with occasional daytime events from 16:00 to 21:00 on their own dates. The club is strictly 21+ and asks guests to dress to impress. Entry changes through the night: for Ferry Corsten on Friday 20 November 2026 the lower-level guest list was free from 22:00 to 22:30, $10 from 22:30 to 23:30 and $20 after midnight, while main-room entry needed a ticket. Table and bottle service are sold. Not for you if you want a small room with a fixed crowd: this is a large commercial club with several rooms.
