Sisyphos sits on the site of a former dog biscuit factory in Rummelsburg, a short walk south-east of Ostkreuz station. The first parties ran in 2009. It is less a club than a small compound: several indoor floors, a large outdoor area and room for around 1,500 people including the grounds. The music is mostly techno and house.
It opens at weekends, from Friday night into Monday morning, and takes a winter break from New Year until about March. A wristband lets you leave and come back all weekend without queueing again. Photos and filming are not allowed. Not for you if you want a quick night out: people come here for a day or two, and the Saturday night queue is long.
Selective but relaxed: small, calm groups do best, and big all-male groups find it hard.
