Science & Industry is a cocktail bar on the first floor of Cane & Grain on Thomas Street, in the middle of the Northern Quarter. It calls itself a drinks laboratory: the bartenders build new flavour combinations with scientific techniques, and the house cocktails sit alongside the classics. The room is low-lit, with dark wood and leather.
It opens Wednesday to Sunday from 18:00, with full table service. Bookings go through Cane & Grain by email or phone, and there is a Perfect Serve masterclass at £35 a head. The Liars Lounge can be hired for up to 100 people. Not for you if you want a quick pint: this is a sit-down, take-your-time bar.
