Schofield's Bar

Schofield's Bar opened in April 2021 on the ground floor of Sunlight House, the art deco block on Quay Street. Brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield run it, with more than 25 years behind the bar between them, and in 2022 it was ranked 59th in the World's Best Bars list after less than 18 months open. There is a terrace outside.

It opens Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 01:30, with last orders at 00:30, and closes on Monday. It is mainly walk-in, with a few reservations each day and a limit of six per group; bigger parties go to sister bar Sterling. It is 18+, cashless and wheelchair accessible. Not for you if you are in fancy dress or a football shirt: both are refused.
