Soho's jazz club since 1959, with two main shows a night and a Late Late Show that keeps it open until 03:00.
Ronnie Scott's opened in 1959 and was the first club in Britain to host American jazz musicians. The room on Frith Street is small, dark and seated, and the names who have played it include Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald and Jimi Hendrix. Upstairs at Ronnie's has its own programme of contemporary jazz, soul and R&B.
Main shows cost around £30. After them the Late Late Show, at around £12, keeps the club open until 03:00 on Mondays and from Wednesday to Saturday. The club is over-18s, apart from accompanied teenagers at early shows. Not for you if you want to talk through the set; the audience is there to listen.
Book online for the main shows; the Late Late Show is the cheaper, later way in.
