House and techno club in the old Butzke-Werke factory halls near Moritzplatz, open since 2007, with several floors and an open-air area.
Ritter Butzke opened in 2007 in the factory halls of the old Butzke-Werke on Ritterstraße, a few hundred metres from Moritzplatz. The building has several floors of different sizes, decorated with care, plus an open-air dance floor. The music is house and techno, and one ticket gets you into every floor that is open.
Club nights run on Friday and Saturday, and in summer the outdoor space also hosts exhibitions and the odd poetry slam. Entry is strictly 18+ with valid ID, and the club describes itself as low-barrier. The door is selective but has a reputation for being fair. Not for you if you want a raw warehouse: the rooms are styled, and weekends often sell out.
Selective but fair; 18+ with valid ID and no exceptions.
