Red Frog

Red Frog is Lisbon's best-known speakeasy, founded by bartenders Emanuel Minez and Paulo Gomes and now tucked inside Monkey Mash on Praça da Alegria, just off Avenida da Liberdade. It has appeared in The World's 50 Best Bars rankings, reaching number 94.

Expect signature cocktails made with care, a small, low-lit room and seats rather than standing space. Book ahead by phone at weekends. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from 18:00 to 01:00. Not for you if you want a cheap round: this is a place for two careful drinks, not six fast ones.
