Plaza

Plaza fills Badenerstrasse 109, a pie-slice-shaped building that opened in February 1924 as the Kosmos cinema. Since 2010 it has been an event venue with three spaces, the Saal, Kosmos and the bar, and the stage is back where the cinema's stood in 1924. Concerts and shows run early in the evening; club nights follow from 23:00.

The club opens from Thursday to Saturday until 04:00, and a typical club ticket costs CHF 25. Most nights are 18+, but Plaze to Be, the hip-hop, R&B and Afrobeats night, admits women from 18 and men from 20. Not for you if you want a dark underground room: this is a big, bright venue that often puts the concert crowd first.
