Speakeasy behind a phone booth inside Crif Dogs on St Marks Place, open since 2007, until 02:00 or 03:00 at weekends.

PDT, short for Please Don't Tell, opened in May 2007 next to the hot dog shop Crif Dogs on St Marks Place, and the entrance is still the thing everyone knows: you step into a wooden phone booth inside the shop, announce yourself into the phone, and the wall opens. Jim Meehan built its reputation, and the bar won the James Beard Award for Outstanding Bar Program in 2012. Jeff Bell bought PDT and Crif Dogs in 2020.

It opens every day at 17:00 and closes at 02:00 from Sunday to Thursday and at 03:00 on Friday and Saturday. Reservations go through Resy, and booking is the reliable way in. Not for you if you want a big, loud room for a group.
