Passos Manuel is one of Porto's best-known bars, set inside an old movie theatre on Rua de Passos Manuel. The regulars come largely from the city's cultural scene, Time Out describes it as queer-friendly, and the dance floor runs on DJs rather than hits.
It opens Wednesday to Saturday from 23:00, usually until 04:00, and is closed early in the week. Some nights are free: AlFaer's all-night set on 2 October 2026 is listed from midnight to 05:00 at no charge, 18+. It is a good bet when the weekend clubs have queues or when you want to dance without paying. Not for you if you want a big sound system or a polished room.
