500-capacity basement club with a Funktion-One in a Victorian building on Rye Lane, Peckham, with a strict no-phones rule.

Palais reopened in 2026 in a Victorian department store building at the top of Rye Lane, having closed in 2011. Upstairs is The Ballroom, a restored cocktail bar that hands over to DJs later in the evening. Downstairs is a 500-capacity basement with a Funktion-One sound system and very little light.

The bookings are serious electronic music: Kode9, Aurora Halal and Andy Garvey are on the October 2026 programme. The door is strict. It is 21+ with physical ID, a sticker goes over your phone camera, and suits or corporate wear can get you turned away. Not for you if you are under 21 or want to film the night.
