PALACE is the club at the top of the Gelkingestraat, a few steps from the Grote Markt, and the city's tourist board lists it as the biggest club in Groningen. The floors are stacked around a central dance floor, which gives the room an arena feel. The music is the crowd-pleasing kind: what people want to dance and sing to.
It opens twice a week to the public. Thursday is House of Students and Saturday is Club Night, both from 23:00; in October 2026 that means the 8th, 10th, 15th and 17th. On other days it can be booked for private parties. Not for you if you want a specialist music policy or a quiet corner: it is big, loud and mainstream.
