Noch Besser Leben, or NBL, is a bar, venue and cultural centre in a Gründerzeit house on the corner of Merseburger Straße and Karl-Heine-Straße, where Plagwitz meets Lindenau. Bands and artists have played here since 2006, around 2,000 events so far.
The concert room is a former living room, which keeps it small and close to the stage. The programme favours music that does not fit a single genre, from songwriters and experimental acts to DJ nights such as Bassalicious. It belongs to the LiveKommbinat, the association of Leipzig clubs and live venues. Not for you if you want a big dancefloor or a headline name.
