Art deco cocktail bar on Gran Vía since 1931, once a haunt of Ava Gardner and Sinatra, with DJs late and a 03:30 close at weekends.

Museo Chicote has poured cocktails at Gran Vía 12 since 1931, and the art deco room still carries the look of the years when Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra drank here. Later in the evening the lights change and DJs take over, which makes it one of the few classic bars in the centre that works as a late stop.

It opens at 16:00 on weekdays and 13:00 at the weekend, and closes at 03:00, or 03:30 on Friday and Saturday. Banco de España and Gran Vía metro stations are a few minutes away, and the bars of Chueca are just behind it. Not for you if you want cheap drinks or a quiet room after midnight.
