Vegan café-bar and small gig venue in Kings Court since 2002, sharing its space with the Monorail Music record shop.

Mono opened in 2002 in Kings Court, off King Street just south of the Trongate. It is a vegan café-bar, a small venue and a record shop in one: Monorail Music shares the space, so you can buy what is playing. The kitchen is fully plant-based, and the beer is part of the reason people come.

Local and touring bands play here, alongside exhibitions, book readings and workshops. It opens daily from 11:00, noon on Sunday, and closes at 22:00, so it works as the first stop of a night out. Not for you if you want a late bar: it shuts before the clubs open, and Stereo, its sister venue, stays open later.
